Emma Wildblood (Partner)
Emma has been a qualified solicitor for nearly 25 years and brings a great deal of experience to the firm.
Emma specialises in all types of work relating to children, including public law (i.e. cases where a Local Authority has applied to the courts to have a child taken into care), and private law (i.e. cases involving disputes over children between family members).
Having represented all parties in such cases, including children , parents , grandparents and the Local Authority, she brings a particular experience and insight to the work as she can advise parents about how a Local Authority approaches cases and how best to deal with them.
Her experience in these matters not only involves representing parents, children and other family members in care proceedings, but she is also sometimes instructed by the Official Solicitor when acting for parents with disabilities. She regularly represents parties who require the support of advocates and intermediaries.
Emma also represents parents in the Pre Proceedings Process (PLO).
Emma is head of the Family Department and is a member of the Law Society Children Panel.
When not working, Emma enjoys reading, listening to music and travelling with her family.
