Managing Partner, Executive Head of Conveyancing
Following a Law Degree in Bristol, Chris trained with Berry Redmond & Robinson and qualified as a solicitor in September 2000. He became a partner in 2007 and specialises in Residential and Commercial Conveyancing.
Chris deals with a wide spectrum of property related matters, ranging from standard domestic conveyancing, transfers of equity and remortgages, to commercial property sales and acquisitions including industrial units, retail properties and bars, restaurants and hotels, dealing also with the sale and acquisition of a business as a going concern, as well as the transfer of the property itself. Chris also handles the drafting and negotiation of business leases acting for both landlords and tenants and advises also on the issues which arise during term of a lease, such as the sale of lease and rent review.
Chris is a young, enthusiastic and commercially minded lawyer with clients ranging from individual property owners, clients with buy to let portfolios and small businesses to substantial property developers. Chris has involvement within the local business community and this, together with his depth of experience in the sector, can add another valuable facet to the usual solicitor's role and is committed to providing clear, unambiguous and constructive advice leading to a smooth and successful transaction.
Chris is the executive head of the Residential and Commercial Conveyancing teams and is also the COFA, MLCO and SRO for the firm.
