What Is Domestic Abuse?
Domestic abuse refers to patterns of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading, and violent behaviour, typically by a partner or ex-partner, but also potentially by a family member or carer. Domestic abuse can take various forms, including:

- Emotional/mental abuse: e.g., coercive behaviour, threats, or manipulation.
- Sexual abuse: e.g., forcing non-consensual sexual acts.

- Harassment/stalking: e.g., unwanted communication or following.
- Online/digital abuse: e.g., social media harassment or spyware.
