The work we do
We advise and assist in the preparation and registration of Powers of Attorney. In addition, we assist relatives and friends of individuals who, by reason of incapacity, can no longer manage their own affairs, in the appointment of Deputies under Court of Protection Orders.
There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney:
- one appointing people to act for you to look after your Property and Financial Affairs and
- one appointing people to look after your Health and Welfare.
These are prepared and registered with the Office of the Public Guardian. We will make home and hospital visits where required and at short notice if possible.
Costs BRGP have standard charges for setting up LPA, depending on the type of LPA you require and whether you wish to have a visit from a BRGP representative at your home or at hospital.

| Registration of an Enduring Power of Attorney with the Office of the Public Guardian (without complications) | £800 + VAT(plus disbursements) |
The current Office of the Public Guardian fee to register each LPA is £82.

Meet the team
BRGP LLP has a standard charge for drawing up a simple Will of £350 + VAT (this may change from time to time). Wills can be complicated, and if your Will is not a simple Will, then an increased cost may apply. We will let you know if this is the case during your first appointment.
Extra costs may apply for Wills that are:
- urgent
- complex (if you have a lot of assets or beneficiaries)
- require home visits
